I had a sad morning today. I got up at 4AM due to being sick and not sleeping well. I figured there were some tired players who had been up all night at the no limit tables. I took the only seat available at an active table, which was open because the evil cards had driven out the previous player. I played for two and a half hours and got next to nothing, save for twice a pair of queens.

I had bought in for $200. The first time I got the pocket ladies, I had atrophied down to half of that. I made a substantial preflop raise from late position to clear the field. It turned into a three-way pot. The flop came ten high with three clubs. There was a $10 bet into me, which was called. One of my queens was clubs, so I came back at him all in for $80. They both folded, and I was back on my feet.

The withering away of my stack continued, until finally I came upon pocket queens again. This time the flop was KJT. An interesting flop. There was an overcard, but I had a great draw. There were two hearts and I held a heart. The flop came heart, and again I bet, only to be called. The flop came nine, and there was my straight to beat the kings or two pair. I bet the wad, knowing only a flush could beat me, and nobody was coming back at me as if he had already made his hand. I lost of course to the K3 flush and my session was over.
