23 of 307

I decided to play the $20 no-limit over at Empire after my exit at Poker Room. Although I have had some near misses, my finishes would have yielded money in regular tournaments, and I put it to the test here. I'm seeing the ball pretty well. I can't be unhappy with 23. I saw QQ once all night and had no better starting hand. I folded TT midway to the big re-raise by the big stack. He turned over AT and beat KQ without pairing. I was a bit gunshy after the AQ debacle and it may have worked to my advantage. I only won $50, but it was good experience. I finally went down shortstacked with QT versus Ax that hit hit ace despite my pair of Q.

Dude's prowess in the multi-table tourney has been a real inspiration. I had been on a sour streak playing PL. These tournaments help you focus and get your confidence back.
