Though I play most of my ring games at Party, I have always preferred Poker Room's tournaments. They have enough people that it's fun without so many people that it takes all night. Lately, I've been playing the ring game there with luck. I'm basically on a two-week winning streak which is as good as I can ever remember. The tourneys haven't been so bad either. I finished in the money for both $6000 freerolls.

I flopped Queens full of nines today in the ring game and was beat by four nines on the river. OUCH! I played a WSOP stage one and got knocked out in the same way I left a tournament last month. It was early with $10/$20 blinds. I raised to $70 in early position with KK and got two callers. The flop came QJ4. I bet $150 and a guy on the button came over the top all-in. I figured a set wouldn't go all-in and neither should QJ. I called and he turned over AQ and hit his lucky Ace on the river.

On Saturday I bought in at Poker Stars. I played a $10 multi, a $20 sit & Go and the $.50/$1 no limit ring game. My impression is that it feels more like casino play than the others. I seemed to be getting real hands and real flops and the action after the flop reminded me of casino play. I won a little, but not as much as I've been winning elsewhere.
