GOOD LAYDOWN

Shortly after my big win, I made a fold that I am proud of. I held A8d.

Flop = 876, one diamond.

Early bettor bet out $8. I think this is rather high for anything other than 8 with a cheesy kicker, so I upped the bet to $16. The scrub from earlier called, and the original bettor kicked it up to $50. I thought about it, then decided that I'd be drawing dead if I got involved.

The scrub called and went all in on the river when a 4 came off. He showed Q5.

The other guy showed T9 and enjoyed quite a rake.

It cost me over $16, but this is a good example of my no limit game improving, as I would have played like the scrub a month ago, once I had $16 invested. Today I was able to get off the hand and hold onto my profit from earlier in the game.
