Holding Aces in no limit

Two examples within 10 hands

First time AA : instead of rasing the pot, I raise to a dollar and get 3 players.

The Flop 9TJ all hearts - I don't have a heart but call a weak 50 cent bet

Turn K offsuit - under the gun goes all in and I'm convinced he has a Q or the flush. So is everyone else: I lose

Second time AA
: I raise the size of pot -- i caller

Flop 88Q: He bets 50 cents and I call

Turn 5: He bets $3, I raise to 8, he folds. I win

AA is easy in the limit game. Just get as many preflop raises in as possible. In the NL game you want to disguise to get maximum value later. The downside is that you have to let more marginal hands have a chance against you. A full raise in the first example would have most likely forced out the Q, but it would have given me very little profit. The second example gave me a moderate sized pot, but I had to slowplay after the flop to get the money.

Had I flopped trips in any scenario it would have been hard to get players past the flop. The players I would have gotten most likely would have a flush, straight or good draw against me.
