TT once again

My last post put me in the position of holding TT with the flop coming 932. I bet the pot and was forced all in by a guy who held 99.

Last night shortly after buying in I called a $9 raise in front of me with TT only to see the button raise to $41. This is an automatic fold. Anyone who would raise that much must have JJ-AA. As I was preparing to fold I realized that I had never played this guy so his hand might not be a better pair. He either has AA or AK i figured. Well, I'm a slight favorite to AK and my guts tell me he doesn't have a better pair but position and an opportunity to steal $18 in front of him. I called.

The flop came 945 2 diamonds. Almost exactly what came last time. $96 in the pot already and I had $56 left in front of me. Since I was already pot commited and would call a $56 bet I decided I would bet it myself hoping he would fold. He called -- ouch!

The turn 8
River K -- Double ouch

The reprieve he held AJ spades. His $41 preflop bet was a position raise. I saw the same kind of move in Vegas when we played NL at the Excalibur. You'd see guys make big re-raises holding a suited ace. It might have been the reason I called pre-flop. Maybe I saw somewhere in my mind that he was capable of that. Anyway I doubled my $100.
