SMALL VICTORY

Last night, I drank beer with a pal, then watched the World Poker Tour with Marci, rather than playing. I woke up today feeling like a win was nearing. After throwing away half the "fresh" food in the kitchen this morning, I realized that I need to spend the better part of today at the grocery store, tending to my "real" job of househusband. I only played the $42 Stage Two tourney at PokerRoom. I was patient, and a little lucky, and I managed to finish top eight, which earned me the $320 entry into the WSOP Qualifier. It's not like winning big money, but winning this ticket in my third try saved me $200 off the cost of buying in directly, so I'll take it.
