DANIEL DISSED

I played in the Negreanu open last night at Full Contact Poker. Daniel was 45 minutes late citing the wife getting Lasik surgery. He may have lasted 10 hands past that going out with JJ v. A2. With a $156 bounty on his head, Daniel was going to see those kinds of calls all night if he could last past the first one.

Before Daniel left, some guy ruined the ending of Amazing Race for him by telling him the Hippies won the season. He was angry enough that he went to the lobby and complained. Meanwhile back at the table, the guy who revealed it was being ridiculed by the other players to the point that he was apologizing.

I’m watching the action over there for a while for kicks and then I’m moved to their table. The first playable hand I get is AKs and with my M around 10, I decide to limp and see if anyone gets aggressive. It’s folded around to the small blind who raises 3x, and I decide to raise all-in. He thinks about it and asks why I would make such a play. He decides to fold and then the spoiler says that only hippies call re-raise all-in, which I suppose was his way of laughing along with the group. I laugh with them.
