THREE-WAY ALL-IN
It was early in the single table tourney, when I raised with QQ. The small blind called and the big blind reraised. I thought about reraising to try to force out the small blind, but I figured he was vested, so I just called, so I could see a flop.
Flop = QAJ
I made a handsome bet and the small blind goes all-in. The big blind quickly calls him, and I call as well. Turns out the big blind has JJ and is heading for the showers. The small blind, the guy I should have raised out of the pot, has KT and he flopped the straight.
Amazingly, my tight play up to this point had left me with $230 in reserve. I actually built that back up to become the chip leader (with the help of a set of fives, and a spec nut flush that hit on the river) before losing with my dreaded AJ to the all-in AQ.
Finished out of the money, but it was a very exciting round of poker.
I was concurrently playing a separate table and flopped a set of kings. The nut diamond draw saw my all-in bet and found his dream card on the river to send me to my doom. You win some, you lose some. Sadly, you lose many more than you win, it seems.
