Pocket Kings

As I finished blogging about last night’s misery I ran into pockets Kings twice.

The first time I was in the small blind. There were 3 callers in front of me and I raised it to $6. Two stayed to play.

The Flop was QT6 rainbow: I bet $19 and got one caller. Gunshy from the bad beat yesterday I started to freak about him holding QT.

The turn was a 3 and the second heart: I checked. He bet $15 and I called.

The river was a J of Diamonds. We both checked and I raked $85. He played J9 hearts against my pre-raise flop. Flopped a straight draw and picked up a flush draw on the turn. That must have been the reason for his confident $15 bet after the 6 fell.

4 hands later I receive pocket kings again.

With two callers in front of me I raised the pot to $5.50. I got three callers.

The flop was JQ5 – two clubs.

I bet the pot $22. The button raised all-in to $49. Under the gun went all in with his $43 and I called both.

The turn was a 9 of hearts and the river was a 2 of diamonds. They were both playing AQ the fools..

I won $166.80. What crazy swings.
