14 of 340 Qualifier for Friday Night - Top 14 Qualify 4 hours of work
I didn't realize it was a limit tourney until I bought in. I started firing at pots early so I could leave, but stuff like 97 was hitting. I worked my original 1000 up to 12,000 and had a terrible beat when my AJ got beat by AT. It put me all the way down to around 100 chips. I win two in a row and next thing you know I am right back in it. With 16 guys left I was shortstacked and had 97 on the blind and the big stack didn't bother to raise me. I got gut shot on the flop and he didn't bet. I got my straight on the turn and we both checked. An ace came on the river and I went all in. He called with AQ. That was such a raising hand. He could have gotten me off of it before the flop. Instead he paid me off and it was enough to stay ahead of the blinds. I could have finished in the top ten but it didn't matter and I have work tomorrow.
And speaking of tomorrow, I have another one of these things to play.
UPDATE: 500 entered and I finished in the 400s. Kings going down to defeat late sealed my fate.
