BACK ON THE HORSE

After some sloppy play I took a long break. Party Poker must have noticed too. Fearing that I jumped their site to play at Poker Stars or Ultimate Bet, they deposited $100 of real money in my account. The only stipulation is that I have to play 1000 hands before I can withdraw it. Their scheme worked and my layoff helped. I got back into the game last night and won $150 with conservative play and timely reads. I'm up another $50 today and playing a tourney on the side. My big winning streak in September brought about some bad habits.

I was on such a roll back then that I would call big preflop raises for the implied odds and even make big re-raises when I was the underdog. I always seemed to draw out on those poor slobs. After two weeks of choice hands I ran into the slump I was due for and couldn't play that way anmore and win. The only thing to do is take the time off and get back to your default skills. Hopefully, I'm back.
