SHORT ON TIME
Lots to do this week with the impending week in France coming soon and trying to make headway on the home improvement. When I get back from Nice, it won't be long before Cadence's birthday party, which we've barely begun to even think about yet. Lots of family visitors around that time too.
Pokerwise, I played two $50 SnGs Monday and another two today as I caught up on the 2005 WSOP shows from Tuesday. Monday, I finished 1st and 5th; today I finished 10th and 3rd. I stupidly called off all my chips to finish 3rd with a straight possibility out there. I two-paired the river and he had been passive the whole while. With the KQJ9 on board, he went all in first to act, and I wondered why such a transparent bet. I figured he was just hoping I didn't have it, so I called with KJ and sure enough he had ten/deuce. I had been beaten before by this joker while he made some ludicrous plays that worked out, so I guess I let vendetta steer my thinking.
Tuesday, the only thing I had time for was about half an hour, so I played $3-6 limit at a full table. I got stuck right away, but I was playing decently. I figured it might swing back by the end of the session, and sure enough I finished $35 up. I am going to try to work some limit back into my repetoire, but I need to stick to the full tables for awhile, because short-handed has been a loser for me.
