VERY UPSETTING
I hate when these situations arise: I was playing a $100 single table that I didn't really have time for, yet I still played patiently and refrained from forcing the action. I consistantly built my stack and was the chip leader with four remaining. One guy was on auto-pilot so my chances of making the money were all but assured. Then I got involved with two big hands when I had good hands, but not the best hand. Suddenly I was right down there with the AWAY guy. It became a battle of the blinds, as I had just a tad more than him and he was first in line to post. I had to fold every hand for three rounds so that he would be blinded away before I entered my next pot. I folded some decent hands during that stretch, but at this point, I just wanted to try to double my money rather than forfeit my $100 entry in a blaze of glory. So, finally, he is all in on his big blind, but of course, he wins the hand to double up. Now the pressure was on me. I was fortunate enough to be dealt a pair of eights on my all-in big blind, and I doubled up as well. The next time around, he managed to win his all-in again, and I was not so lucky, finishing fourth and missing the money, and worse yet, donating my $100 to the AWAY guy.
