DUDE VANDER MEER
Fresh from last night's victory, I won tonight's $11.5k Guaranteed at Full Tilt to go back to back. It got down to three-way with me as chip leader. The short stack asked if we wanted to take a chip equity deal. Marci didn't like the idea, so I declined. Moments later he was all in against me with 33 versus my JJ. He hit his 3 to knock me down to size. I made some noise and climbed back into the running. Then the other guy was on the short stack when I picked up KK on the big blind. He called from the small blind and I min-raised him in that classic 'make him an offer he can't refuse' style. He called and promptly hit trips on the flop. I had to get it all in even though I feared the worst as he kept calling my minimum bets. He climbed back into contention, but ultimately left in third place. Troublecat was my opponent, and he again offered a deal. There was $1500 separating first from second place. Marci and I ran the numbers at the break and determined that I could take second place money plus $600 with my 2:3 chip disadvantage and call it square, which he accepted. Final line: 1-2 of 237 = $3320. Technically, I guess I finished 2nd, so maybe I get an asterisk.
